Every once in a while, I find that I am enjoying music because I love the sound, but also the evolution of the artist. IDLES has taken me on that journey. Their new album is the rare case of growth, and not the way you expect. The development of the sound, in parallel with the content, has produced a body of work that is not a story, but an epic tale. This creation pushes the writing while allowing the music to express with greater simplicity.
